“I’m Here” was written while supporting my wife through mental health struggles, as those close to me were navigating their own battles with trauma.
Somewhere in the process, it became a reflection of my own journey, and a message of hope for anyone navigating difficult seasons.
“I’m Here” began as a song for my wife during a season where she was navigating mental health challenges in the face of profound change and loss.
At the same time, those close to me were facing their own struggles, revisiting past trauma that brought a deeper level of awareness into the writing process.
Looking back, I didn’t realize how much of this song I would eventually have to live myself.
This isn’t a song about having all the answers.
It’s about presence.
